Chris Read

Songwriter, writer and performer Chris Read has written songs and stories for Netflix's 'Ladybug and Cat Noir: The Film', the CW's 'Legacies' and Audible's 'Crush Hour', starring Ellie Goulding and Douglas Booth. He contributed lyrics to the 'Whiplash' soundtrack (deluxe edition).

As half of musical-comedy duo 'Harry and Chris', he wrote and performed multiple songs for Sky's The Russell Howard Hour', and NBC's 'Bring The Funny'. The duo also wrote and performed multiple times for BBC Radio 2, 3 and 4, and wrote and toured four full-length musical comedy shows selling out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and garnering 5-star reviews.

Alongside this work Chris has written and recorded for private commissions and adverts, writing for OnePlus, Dubai Tourism and Hines.

Based in his hometown London, Chris has written songs and stories as long as he can remember, playing gigs from his early teens and becoming the youngest ever licensed busker on the London Underground at 17, after winning a competition run by then London mayor Boris Johnson. Chris prides himself on collaboration and bring an infectious energy and joy to everything he works on. He is also becoming an expert at writing his own bios in third person.
